No.14

NOTHING IS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THE SOUND OF A GUITAR

Here are just a few examples of great playing . . . . .

beginning with the king of them all - Andrés Segovia playing
Fandango from Suite Castellana by Frederico Moreno Torroba



In complete contrast, a delightful little Hawaiian melody played by Fran Guidry



This is a Gigue from Partita No.3 which Bach wrote for the violin. He later re-wrote the piece for lute and in this video (1963) its played on guitar by John Williams.



I found this rather attractive example of a lute playing music from the 16th century
